Some of the things i know about the author are that he is was born in Hawii. He also was the senator of Illinois, and now he is the president of the United States. He won the Nobel Peace Prize earlier this month, for trying to spread internationalism. I chose this book because it explains the early life of our first black president. It also is a book that people wouldn't really want to read in high school, beacuse it is a fairly long book.
